Refresh: Professional Symposium and Retreat for Students in Healthcare

Professional Healthcare Symposium - Friday, November 15th, 7 pm

Student Retreat - Saturday November 16th, 10am - 5pm

Be refreshed! Join us Friday night as healthcare professionals to hear from symposium speaker Christy Secor on the topic of being refreshed in the demanding healthcare field. She writes: "We are experiencing unprecedented challenges in our professions. Stresses and barriers that leave us questioning our purpose, our calling, and our ability to provide the care that’s needed. Our physical, emotional, and spiritual health can take a backseat to the demands and time constraints we face. Join us as we discuss how we can experience hope, healing, and renewed purpose as we reconnect with the populations we serve, with our families, and with ourselves. Most importantly, we’ll rediscover God’s presence in the journey. Be refreshed and renewed!"

Saturday, join us as a student community (faculty, volunteers, and professionals are welcome as well) for the day we set aside time for students to be refreshed. Spend the day in worship, community, reflection, teaching, and discussion.

Keynote Speaker

Christy Secor DNP, RN, CDWF

In July 2018, Christy joined NCF's staff to become the Professional Ministries Director where she provided support and leadership to our nurse group leaders. Christy is now NCF's Spiritual Formation and Prayer Specialist. Christy has been a nurse since 1983, when she received her BSN from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. She has extensive experience in nursing and has received both of her MSN and DNP degrees.
